Leo Patel is eight years old and the cousin of Noah and Maya Patel. While his father is working abroad in security, Leo stays with Noah and Maya's family and quickly becomes part of their group with Elsie Brooks.
Leo is cheerful, sociable and proud of his dad, who previously served in the army. He wears one of his father's medals on a chain and tells the others that he never takes it off.
