ROLE
Keeper of the Mountain
Bolesh controls the paths through her lair and decides whether travellers pass, bargain or become food.
ANCIENT KEEPER OF THE MOUNTAIN
Bolesh
“Time is negotiable.”
Ancient. Intelligent. Lonely. Completely terrifying. Bolesh controls a vast web, guards the mountain and can make a single minute stretch into something far longer.
WHO IS BOLESH?
The Creature Who Bargains with Time
Bolesh is an enormous spider-like creature who has lived inside the mountain for longer than anyone can remember. Her age has weakened her body, but not her intelligence, authority or hunger.
She can distort the passage of time by plucking the strands of her web, allowing Kevin and Nivek to move between moments. The gift is powerful, unstable and limited by Bolesh's failing strength.
Beneath Bolesh's threats is an ancient loneliness. Her bargain is not simply about letting travellers pass. She wants them to find a male of her kind before age leaves her species without a future.
